Return and Repair Policy

  1. We reserve the right to turn down any repair or return requests. We will repair pieces made by other artists, but there is a minimum $5 fee for this. 

  2. Not Satisfied: Returns are accepted if the item is unused and in new condition (For example, if the item did not fit). Exchanges can also be made if the product was not highly customized. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. After 14 Calendar days, only exchanges can be made.

  3. Artist Defect: If there is a defect that is my error, such as a partially open ring, or poorly anodized ring I will accept returns and if possible, offer free repair/replacement of the item. JohnsChains will cover shipping costs. This does not include normal wear. This means artist defects found upon receiving the item - must be made known to JohnsChains within 7 calendar days.

  4. Repair Requests: Accidents happen. Pieces get snagged and pull apart, something falls on the piece and bends the rings open, etc..

    • Any repair needed that take less than 15 minutes to fix (95% of all repairs) is free of charge, provided the buyer pays shipping. After 15 minutes, the first 30 minutes is $5, and $10 every 30 minutes afterwards.

    • Pieces made by another artists start with a $5 repair fee for the first 15 minutes, and $10 every 30 minutes thereafter.

    • Please be prepared to provide an thorough explanation regarding how the piece was damaged (This is for our benefit so that we may improve our designs where applicable, and does NOT influence repair costs in any way). After initial contact, we will also requests several photos of the damage so that we can give you an estimated time and cost in repairing any given item.
